Student Academic Grievance Procedures

The College of the Environment Student Academic Procedures provide mechanisms for graduate and undergraduate students to address academic problems or grievances in an equitable, respectful, and timely manner. Satisfactory progress

If you are pursuing a bachelor’s degree, you are expected to make satisfactory progress toward the attainment of that degree and are expected to enter a major and graduate after completion of a reasonable number of credits. Academic conduct

Students at the University of Washington are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic conduct. Most UW students conduct themselves with integrity and are disturbed when they observe others cheating. Reinstatement

If you are an undergraduate and have been dropped for low scholarship and wish to petition for reinstatement, you must meet with your academic adviser to begin the process. Get more information on the College of the Environment Undergraduate Reinstatement Policy page.

Graduate School Student Policies – Scholarship

If you are pursuing a graduate degree, you are expected to make satisfactory progress towards that degree. Failure to maintain satisfactory performance and progress toward a degree may also result in a change-in-status action by the Graduate School.
