Transfer Students

Interested in marine sciences?

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for future transfer students interested in marine sciences! Please visit the Marine Geoscience Education, Oceanographic Discovery, Undergraduate Collaboration (GEODUC) website to learn more.

Transfer students are an important part of the College of the Environment community and we are here to support you as you plan for your transfer to UW.

We strongly encourage prospective transfer students to meet with the academic adviser for the major they want to enroll in as early as possible to plan courses and prepare for a smooth transfer. Undergraduate majors are listed on this page; just click the one you are interested in and you’ll see the contact information for the academic adviser and a link to that department’s website.

Each major has a transfer planning worksheet that can help match course numbers on the planning worksheets to those from Washington State community or technical colleges with the UW Transfer Equivalency Guide. Look for these worksheets on the website for your major of choice or ask the academic advisor to email you a link to the document. Students from outside of Washington state can contact an adviser with questions about course equivalency for major or minor requirements.

If you are early in the transfer process and would like help exploring our majors to find the best fit, please contact the College of the Environment Pre-Major Adviser at coenvadv@uw.edu, to schedule an appointment (virtual or in-person).
