Marilyn leads the College's Advancement team, is point person for private support strategies and a resource for connecting donors, volunteers, and alumni with academic leaders, faculty and students. Outside of work, Marilyn keeps up with her historic preservation interests and can found be traveling the back roads and trails of North America with her family and six-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Lauren connects individual, corporate and foundation donors to the College's key initiative, EarthLab. She builds partnerships that advance the research, student opportunities and applied science in EarthLab's focus areas of ocean health, climate resilience, preparing for natural hazards and healthy ecosystems. A perpetual joiner, Lauren is a member of two book clubs, a soup group and a seasonal crafternoon.
Deanna provides executive assistance to the associate dean for advancement as well as manages key team functions across the Advancement team. She is the logistical point of contact for the College's Advisory Board and Campaign Committee. Outside of the office, Deanna enjoys finding new recipes to make use of her CSA, reading fiction and walking to her destination whenever possible.
Rachel is based on San Juan Island and works closely with Friday Harbor Labs' Advancement board. She also coordinates annual Friday Harbor Labs donor events. Rachel dabbles in artistic ventures, but mostly enjoys going to art museums, concerts and dance performances.
Kristin partners with individuals who make research and education possible by supporting programs within the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences, Department of Earth and Space Sciences and UW Botanic Gardens. A Husky alumna herself, Kristin has been working with the College since 2013. When she's not in the office, she can be found kayaking Puget Sound, enjoying the mountains or working in her garden.
Jerry is the advancement liaison for the Department of Atmospheric Sciences. He also works to raise private support for College-wide priorities and oversees the College's annual giving outreach efforts.
Associate Director for Corporate & Foundation Relations
Liz develops comprehensive strategies to raise corporate and foundation gifts and private grants in support of departmental and College-wide priorities. She is the point person for corporate and foundation engagement and outreach. Outside of work, she enjoys playing her trombone and spending time with family and friends.
Assistant Director of Events & Constituent Relations
Andrea is responsible for strategic creation, management and implementation of various external events and communications that lead to enhanced public awareness of and increased private support for the College. She is the College's Alumni and Constituent Relations officer. She enjoys coaching youth sports and managing the PTA after school programs for her neighborhood school.
Kyle builds philanthropic connections for the College through engaging various individuals, corporations and private foundations and is the advancement liaison for the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs and the Program on the Environment. He acts as a concierge in connecting various stakeholders who have interest in environmental research and policy. Outside of work, Kyle enjoys working on bonsai trees and spending time with his family.
Assistant Director for Donor Relations & Stewardship
Zanne's work focuses on donor acknowledgments, recognition and accountability, compliance and fiduciary responsibility, impact reporting, and engagement and loyalty. When not at work, you can find her singing with the Seattle Symphony Chorale at Beneroya Hall.
Sandra leads a team of fundraisers responsible for raising private support for the College’s students, faculty and programs. She provides strategic leadership to all academic unit heads, faculty, and administrators in designing and implementing approaches to sustain and increase major giving and alumni support. If she isn't rocking out at concerts, Sandra is on skies or in a kayak exploring the Pacific Northwest with her family.
As a member of the College's Advancement team, Daniel supports donor relations efforts for the School of Oceanography and the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences. He can be a resource for alumni and friends interested in connecting to the College. Outside of work, Daniel serves on the board for the PNW Association of Fundraising Professionals and is earning an MBA at the UW Foster School of Business.
