About Clara:
- My passion and focus is marine restoration, conservation, and ecological monitoring, in addition to scientific communication and accessibility! In my time at UW so far, I have been involved in Dr. Xochitl Clare's Sea Cucumber research, Tropical Marine Monitoring at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, Bird-Friendly UW, and the Interdisciplinary Honors Program. I also serve on the College of the Environment Diversity Committee and am on the Board of Directors for Grow Dat Youth Farm, a non-profit sustainable farm in New Orleans (where I am from)! Outside of classes, I love to roller-skate, hike, SCUBA, cook, and read a good book. I am deeply passionate about the complex interdisciplinary nature of Marine Biology and Ecology and corresponding conservation measures, and cannot wait to serve again on SAC this year!
Random fact about Clara:

About Erin:
- Currently, I’m pursuing an undergraduate degree in Earth and Space Sciences: Geoscience. I’ve just begun studying at UW and since I don’t want to limit myself, there’s no specific area of study that I’m interested in. My previous leadership experience includes being a part of my high school’s Associated Student Body and a Media Coordinator for its environmental club. I enjoy reading, baking, and kayaking (when the weather permits it) outside of my academics.
Random fact about Erin:
- I know my ABC's backwards!
Representing:
- RSO/At-Large
About Sarah:
- I'm currently researching the environmental and human health effects of radiation pollution from the Hanford nuclear site through a comparative study between Pasco and Richland. This research is being conducted through an overarching environmental justice and public policy lens as apart of my Anthropology Honors Thesis, advised by Dr. Holly Barker.
I'm a student leader through being a Residence Education Programmer for Housing and Food Services and the President of Huskies for Kids, an RSO dedicated to community service initiatives to help underprivileged children in the area. Outside of the classroom, the majority of my time is taken up by my internship at City of Seattle. In my personal time, I enjoy reading, cooking, running, and hiking with friends in the summers.
Random fact about Sarah:
- I once hiked Mailbox Peak in winter for extra credit.

I led a social media account with 3,000 followers, coordinating community outreach and sustainability initiatives. Outside the classroom, I enjoy biking and walking by Alki Beach with my family, which fuels my passion for environmental conservation.
