Join in on the Earth Day festivities with Dean Lisa Graumlich and others at the central UW Seattle Earth Day Celebration at Red Square on April 22! Marking the 45th anniversary of Earth Day, all students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend. An important day celebrated at the University of Washington since the very first Earth Day in 1970, it’s an opportunity to appreciate and recognize the year-round environmental stewardship and sustainability efforts across all UW campuses. Wednesday’s celebration is slated to include:
- 10:00 am: Environmental Exhibitors Fair opens with music from Rainy Dawg Radio
- 11:45 am: Earth Day celebration welcome and remarks from Seattle City Councilmember Mike O’Brien
- 1:15 pm: Husky Green Award presentation with Dean Lisa Graumlich
