In an era when datasets are mushrooming, the cloud is ever expanding, and environmental science is in dire need of multidisciplinary, real world information to document and address global change; how do we bring students to the party? Can “big data” make them more aware, make them care more?  Or is an onslaught of information more likely to create overload?  Where is the balance between ownership and understanding? Join us for MGT: How Big is Your Data? where we’ll hear from 4 faculty members who are convincing their students to dive headfirst into datasets larger than any one student could ever collect.
