The University of Washington’s Diving Safety Program, assists faculty, staff and students in safety using SCUBA as a tool to conduct underwater research.  Although the majority of dives are conducted at Friday Harbor Labs, there has been an abundance of diving projects conducted all over the globe.

Divers Anyone diving under the UW’s auspices must be certified as a UW Scientific Diver and adhere to the standers set forth in the Diving Safety Manual.
Diving Database Divers are required to record and maintain their dive logs and personal data on the AAUS Database.
