Terry Swanson

Teaching Professor

Terry Swanson is a geologist who is dedicated to making the teaching of geology accessible and exciting to anyone, be they young or old, and whether or not they have a background in the sciences. For his enthusiasm at making the material come to life, he is a regular recipient of teaching awards from the University of Washington. His teaching is not limited to university students, and for the past 20 years he has been involved with NSF-sponsored efforts to develop curricula for K-6 and K-12 students. And in addition to his teaching, he does research on Quaternary geology.
