Oceanography

Kevin Williams is an associate professor at the School of Oceanography and the Chairman of the Acoustics Department at the Applied Physics Laboratory. His research efforts include both underwater environmental acoustics and target scattering. His environmental acoustics efforts focus on theoretical and experimental examination of scattering from, and propagation within, ocean sediments and propagation through internal waves. His target scattering work involves classification of underwater targets under the conditions studied in his environmental work.
