He studies how these links in turn can influence the structure and function of aquatic food webs in lakes, estuaries and marine systems. He holds the Richard C. and Loui M. Worthington Endowed Professorship in Fisheries Management, is a unit leader of the Washington Fish and Wildlife Cooperative Unit, and both participates and helps coordinate research projects run jointly through UW and a host of cooperating state and federal agencies.
