Anne Beaudreau and her team conduct research to understand how fisheries systems respond and adapt to environmental, regulatory, and social change. They draw approaches and perspectives from multiple disciplines, including fisheries science, ecology, anthropology and sociology. Major research themes include understanding responses of ecological and human communities to multi-scale environmental drivers and bridging knowledge systems in fisheries. Beaudreau earned a Ph.D. in aquatic and fishery sciences from the University of Washington and held a faculty position at the University of Alaska Fairbanks College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences from 2012 to 2020.
