UW Postdoctoral Association

The UW Postdoctoral Association (UWPA) is run by postdoctoral fellows for postdoctoral fellows.  It is served by an executive committee of 12 postdocs, each serving a one-year term, and elected by their peers. The UWPA serves as an advocate for postdocs at the UW on issues such as parental leave as a postdoc, and professional development and career exploration. In addition, the UWPA works to provide programming such as an annual research symposium, monthly happy hours, social outings and intramural sports teams.

National Postdoctoral Association

The National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) is a member-driven, non-profit organization (501(c)3 status) that provides a voice for postdoctoral fellows. NPW’s agenda looks to enhance the quality of the national postdoctoral experience and provide a leadership role in addressing issues that confront the postdoctoral community.
