Start Date May or June and work for 10 to 12 weeks
Pay Junior level = $18.00; Senior/Graduate level = $19.00
Minimum
Qualifications
• Completion of two (2) years of college coursework in planning, science, or engineering.
• Must be able to show proof of enrollment in the 2024 summer or fall term.
• Junior, Senior or Graduate level student.

 Collecting scientific data including:
 Forage fish surveys on the beach
 Watercraft-based kelp canopy surveys
 Marine water quality data
 Creating a framework for conducting shoreline assessment
 Managing large data sets and ensuring quality control
 Analyzing and reporting on marine data
 Collaborating with local partners on marine projects
 Attending Marine Resources Committee Meetings
 Creating outreach and education materials
What to expect:
 Field work 1 to 2 days per week, possibly in hot,
cold, or wet weather. Possible long days on boats
and on the beach.
 Computer based research and reporting done at a
work-from-home location.
