College of the Environment faculty are doing a lot of work with tribal partners, but until now there hasn’t been an easy way for tribal leaders, students or other faculty to learn about these myriad connections.
The Tribal Directory is a searchable database of College faculty that are working, or have recently worked, with tribal nations. Each entry includes the name and location of the tribal nation and a brief description of the interaction. You can scroll through each interaction or search for specific faculty, tribes, or topics. If you have questions or you’re a faculty member who needs to update their entry, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For guidance on working with tribes, the National Congress of American Indians Policy Research Center and Montana State University’s Center for Native Health Partnerships have produced a new resource: Walk Softly and Listen Carefully: Building Research Relationships with Tribal Communities.
